This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in relation to the Idea Catcher mobile application ("the App"), developed by Mohamed Maher. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

By using Idea Catcher, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Idea Catcher is designed with privacy as a core principle:

  • No Personal Information Collection: We do not collect any personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, phone number, or physical address.
  • No Account Creation: The App does not require user accounts or registration.
  • No Cloud Storage: All data created within the App remains exclusively on your device.
  • No Usage Analytics: We do not track how you use the App or collect analytics about your interactions.
  • No Third-Party Data Sharing: We do not share any user data with third parties except as required for advertising services (as described in Section 4).

3. Information Stored Locally

The only information handled by the App is what you directly create:

  • Your Content: Ideas, notes, reminders, and any other content you input into the App.
  • App Preferences: Settings and customization options you choose within the App.

Important: All information you create in Idea Catcher is stored exclusively on your device. We have no access to this information, and it never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export or share it.

4. Advertising and AdMob

Idea Catcher uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect certain information to provide relevant ads:

  • Advertising ID: A unique identifier for advertising purposes
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and device settings
  • Approximate Location: Derived from IP address (not precise GPS location)
  • Interaction Data: Information about your interaction with advertisements

This data collection is performed by Google AdMob and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy:

We have no access to or control over the information collected by AdMob.

5. App Permissions

Idea Catcher requests the following permissions:

  • Storage Access: Required to export your ideas as files or import existing files. The App only accesses files you explicitly choose to interact with.
  • Notifications: Required to display reminders you set for your ideas.

These permissions are optional and only used for the specific features you enable.

6. Data Security

Since all your data remains on your device:

  • Your data security depends on your device's security measures.
  • We recommend using device security features such as PIN codes, passwords, or biometric authentication.
  • We cannot access, recover, or transfer your data if you lose your device or uninstall the App.

7. Children's Privacy

Idea Catcher is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about our information practices.
